Questa “poesia in musica” di Damien Rice è l’unica cosa ch’io abbia mai sentito (sinora) “degna” d’affiancare Ani DiFranco.
Elephant è (secondo me) un “delirio” di un innamorato sconvolto dall’amore e dal dolore.
Il testo rasenta il “non sense” e la melodia ha degli “sbalzi d’umore” incredibili.
Mentre la ascolto SENTO il dolore e la speranza e la gioia e la violenza e la pace e l’illusione dell’innamorato ferito.
…proprio come tutti abbiamo sentito quando abbiam perso un amore…sembra sempre di morire!
…e poi, invece, si sopravvive.
